The Fallshaw Industrial Duty Castor range has been used for more than 40 years in warehouses, supermarkets, factories, universities and hospitals. Designed for trolleys and carts weighing up to 1,200kg fully loaded, these castors provide a more rugged construction than the M series, with thicker materials and larger raceways for applications involving heavier loads and more demanding use.
The robust construction is designed to handle higher impact loads and rougher surfaces, including uneven ground, gutters and other floor irregularities. Larger wheels roll more easily over obstacles, helping reduce vibration and improve ride comfort. Fallshaw castors are dynamically tested over obstacles equivalent to 3% of the wheel diameter for hard wheels and 5% for soft wheels.
The zinc-plated Core Coat forks provide a clean finish on chrome, stainless steel, aluminium and metal trolleys, with corrosion protection for normal non-corrosive environments. Clear Coat lacquer provides additional corrosion protection, with testing showing no white or red rust after 150 hours of salt spray exposure.
Roller bearings provide a large bearing surface suited to frequently used applications and higher impact loads. These castors are designed for low-speed equipment and are not suitable for speeds above 6km/h. Total brake models lock both the wheel and swivel when the brake is engaged, helping keep the trolley securely stationary.
